1. How to Download?
If a game is split in parts you need to download them all. Sometimes we use more than 1 option (hosting), you can always download one part from one host and another from another host, in other words they are interchangeable. Every host is different but i’ll show you the ones i use the most. Mega, GDrive and many more.In many cases you will be taken to adfly site, we use this to pay for server fees and protect ourselves from DDOS attacks. All you have to do there is wait 5 seconds and click “SKIP AD” if another tab opens you close it.
Downloading from GDrive:
Really easy you just click the download button and you are done, i’ll show you some pics.
If the files are really small the button will be at the top right corner.
If the file is bigger you’ll get this warning just click download.
Again this is telling you the file is big to scan it, just click download and you are done!
Downloading from MEGA:
The regular method is clicking download through your browser or if there are many files in a folder select them all and right click -> download. See pictures:
Single File download from mega using the browser.
2. What’s the password?
- Most of the files don’t have any password!!!!!!
3. How to extract parts?
BIG games are split in smaller parts because not everybody can download big files believe it or not. Some files are split with Winrar others with 7-zip, both programs can extract many formats (.rar/.7z/.001/.002/etc) provided they are updated to the latest version.USING WINRAR:
- First Download ALL the parts.
- Make sure all parts are on the same folder (DO NOT rename the files or change the extensions).
- Install latest WinRAR, this is important! old Winrar can’t extract new packages.
- Then right click the first part only and click “Extract here”. That will extract the whole package. You don’t need to do anything with the other parts.
USING 7-ZIP:
Same instructions as Winrar except the menu is under 7-zip -> Extract Here:3. How to play GBA Rom
Note: GBA refers to Game Boy Advance1. Getting a Rom
First you must obtain a GBA Rom. You probably already have one, but if you don't, find one here. A GBA Rom will have a .gba extension. If you have a .rar, .zip, .7z, etc. file, extract it to get the .gba one. (Note: Some emulators can play .zip files directly.) If you have a patch file (.ips or .ups), there's a tutorial on how to patch below. Note: This tutorial is mainly for .gba files. If you have a DS game (.nds), you will need a DS emulator. If you have a GBC game (.gbc), you may need a different emulator.2. Emulators
Next, in order to play the Rom, you will need a GBA emulator. An emulator allows you to play GBA games as you would on the console, but on your device. Here are some recommendations-Windows - Visual Boy Advance (VBA)
Android - My Boy!
iOS - GBA4iOS
If you have an emulator you use that isn't here, please mention it in the comments section to help everyone out.
3. Start the rom
Next, open the .gba (or possibly .zip) file on your emulator. The game should load up now. A Pokemon Rom should show a similar screen-
In case you are getting a white screen, skip to step 5.
If you are using VBA, the controls are usually Z=A, X=B, Enter=Start, Backspace=Select, A=L, S=R and the arrows for direction. View/Change this by going to Options->Joypad->Configure->1
Or some other error that I might have forgotten, apply these settings for VBA (try to find similar settings to steps 4 and 5 if you're using a different emulator)-
You can either use the in-game save mechanic to save your game (Start->Save while in the game) or use save states (some emulators like My Boy! Free do not support this).
In VBA, save states are used by clicking Shift+F1 to save and F1 to load. (Replace F1 by F2, F3, ..., F10 for more save states)
4. Buttons
If you are on a touch screen device, your buttons should show up on the screen (A, B, Start, Select, L, R and the direction pad).If you are using VBA, the controls are usually Z=A, X=B, Enter=Start, Backspace=Select, A=L, S=R and the arrows for direction. View/Change this by going to Options->Joypad->Configure->1
5. Troubleshooting
At this point, if you get any of these errors- White screen The 1m sub-circuit board is not installed Internal Battery has run dryOr some other error that I might have forgotten, apply these settings for VBA (try to find similar settings to steps 4 and 5 if you're using a different emulator)-
- Close VBA.
- Delete the .sgm, .sa1 or .sav files for this game in your folder (if they exist).
- Open VBA.
- Go to Options -> Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128k
- Options -> Emulator -> Real Time Clock
- Options -> Gameboy -> Automatic
- Close VBA again.
- Then open it again and load the rom once more.
6. Play
That's it. You can now play the game as you would have on a Game Boy Advance console.
